Let the Course Choice Set the Shape of the Golf Day
· Golf Transportation · Facts checked October 29, 2026

Sand Hollow’s different layouts offer a useful way to plan a round around the players, then build the transportation around that choice.
Start With the Players
Sand Hollow Resort describes three different golf experiences: its Championship, Links and Wee courses. The Championship layout includes elevation changes and cliffside holes, while the resort describes the Links layout as more approachable for beginners. Those differences give a group a better starting point than simply asking which tee time is available.
Talk honestly about the players. Does everyone want a full round, or would a shorter outing suit the group? Are there first-time players, people returning after a long break or friends who want to practice together? Choosing the experience around them can keep the day from becoming a test nobody agreed to take.
Build Backward From the Confirmed Tee Time
Check the course and tee time directly with the golf team before finalizing transportation. Ask about check-in, rental equipment and practice plans. Then give the planner the confirmed course, time, pickup locations and guest count. The ride needs to support the arrival you want, including time to settle in rather than unload clubs at the last minute.
Count the golf bags as well as the people. If guests are changing hotels or heading to the airport afterward, include their luggage too. A vehicle that seats the group may not suit all the equipment. Ask for the proposed passenger and cargo fit instead of relying on a general vehicle category.
Keep the Finish Flexible Within an Agreed Plan
Discuss how the return will work if the round runs longer than expected. Waiting service and a scheduled pickup are different arrangements and should be clear in the proposal. If a meal is part of the day, book it separately and include the stop in the transportation request before confirming.
SGLT can review a golf journey around your players, chosen course and available vehicles. Course conditions, tee times and golf services remain with the course. Share the day you want to have, including what happens after the final putt, and we can discuss transportation that fits the actual plan without promising a particular pace of play.
