A Mad Moose outing begins with matching the activity to the participants, then planning the road journey around the confirmed choice.

Choose the Format Before Counting the Vehicles

Mad Moose’s official information distinguishes guided tours from self-guided rentals and provides visitor FAQs for its Southern Utah locations. For a group considering an outing, the first decision is which format people actually want.

Ask who hopes to drive, who prefers to ride and who would rather choose another activity. Those choices affect the operator’s booking, not just the transportation to get there. Make sure everyone understands the proposed experience before the organizer collects commitments or assumes all participants need the same arrangement.

Leave Eligibility With the Operator

Confirm the selected experience’s current driver and passenger requirements directly with Mad Moose. Ask about documents, waivers, age limits, training and any other steps that apply to your booking. Do not use a general group invitation as a substitute for each participant understanding what is required.

Give guests the operator’s instructions with enough time to review them. If a requirement cannot be met, discuss alternatives before arrival. The chauffeur transporting the group does not determine UTV eligibility or override the activity’s rules. Keep questions about the machines, terrain and riding decisions with the qualified operator rather than treating the road transfer as a guided off-road experience.

Build Transportation Around the Confirmed Choice

Once the format and participants are settled, share the exact location, check-in instructions and expected finish with the transport request. Count passengers for both directions if non-riders have another plan. Include bags and any clothing changes so vehicle fit can be reviewed. A place name alone may not identify the correct location.

SGLT can discuss the chauffeur journey to and from the activity, subject to a confirmed quote and available service. Rental machines, guided tours, equipment and admission remain separate arrangements unless expressly included. Tell us which parts are confirmed and which participants have a different day in mind. A clear request helps keep the road journey aligned with the experience the group chose.
